Brain Tumor Detection

Research internship at IIT Kharagpur, India

During the summer of 2013, I interned at the School of Medical Science and Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. Here, I employed rough set filtering, edge detection, and unsupervised clustering to segment Magnetic Resonance Images (MRI). This enabled us to detect and isolate brain tumors. Over the course of two months, I isolated tumor(s) in MR Images with 78% accuracy.
